Privacy & Data Policy

We keep it to what we need to show you your number and help you negotiate:

• Account: your email address (and, if you sign in with Google, your basic Google account identity). We do not receive or store your password.
• What you tell the intake: your job title, city/state, level, years of experience, employment status, current or prior salary, and any context you volunteer (e.g. bonus or equity notes).
• Your résumé (optional): if you share it to speed up the intake, we extract the job facts (title, city, level, experience, employer, industry) and show them to you before they’re used. The file itself is read once, in memory, and never stored — and we never extract your name, contact details, or anything about who you are. Correcting a fact in the chat always wins over the document.
• Skills & credentials (optional): during the intake you can tap certifications or specialties that apply to you (say, CCRN or full-cycle recruiting), or add one in your own words. They strengthen the wording of your negotiation script and are kept with your profile — they never change your number, which is computed without them.
• Your employer (optional): if you choose to share it, your company’s name. It’s never required, it’s never used to set your number, and it’s never shown tied to you. No figure we show you uses it today; it could only ever be used in anonymous, aggregated form, under the rules below.
• Your plan & outcomes: the market band and target we computed, the script we generated, and — if you choose to report back — what you asked for and what you landed. If you correct the occupation we matched your work to, we recompute your plan and also keep what it said before the correction — the band, target and script we had shown you — so there is a record of what we showed you then. It never changes your number, and it’s deleted with your account.
• Your pay history: when the intake first records your pay, level or job title, and whenever a later intake changes or removes one, we keep a dated record of it — your pay as you said it, what it’s per (hour, day, week, month or year) and your weekly hours — and, if something you told us before has changed and you tell us when, the month it changed. It never changes your number, no page shows it, and it’s in your data export and deleted with your account.
• Your words in a simulated pay conversation (optional): if you use the signed-in feature that simulates a pay conversation, we keep what you confirmed you said and the replies you were shown. If you speak instead of typing, your recording is turned into text for you to check and correct before it is sent, and the recording itself is never stored. It never changes your number and is never recorded as an outcome, and it’s in your data export and deleted with your account.
• Optional contributions: a salary you add to the anonymous pool (optionally with your employer), or an offer/raise letter you upload to verify a win.
• Self-identification (all optional): on your profile page you can choose to tell us your race/ethnicity, age band, disability status, sexual orientation, veteran status, or the highest level of school you’ve finished — or “prefer not to say.” Race and ethnicity takes as many answers as fit you; the rest take one. We ask education as a level, never a school name, a degree title, a year, or a grade — and a licence or certification you hold is a different question, asked about your work rather than about you. You can change or clear any of them whenever you like, and clearing one removes it. None of it ever influences your number (which is computed from wage data before any of these questions are offered, and the engine cannot read them), it’s only ever used in anonymous group statistics of five or more, and it’s deleted with your account. We ask your age as a band, never a date of birth. And because combining several of these could point at one person, we publish them one at a time and never crossed with each other.
• Págame Pay Intelligence (optional): if you buy it, we keep a record of the purchase — the payment reference from our payment processor, the amount, and when your year starts and ends — so we know what you are entitled to and when to send you the one note before it ends. We keep it after your year ends as the record of a purchase you made. Nothing renews automatically and no card is kept on file for a future charge.
• Reviews (optional): if you leave one, we keep your star rating, anything you write, and the credit you chose — a name or nothing. A person reads it before it can appear anywhere. It stays private unless you tick the box asking us to show it, and that box is never ticked for you. We record when you agreed and which wording you agreed to. Consent covers this website and nothing else. You can change your review or take it down at any time from your account, and taking it down removes it from the site.
• Expert Review (optional): if you book a paid session, your booking and preferred times. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor — Págame never sees or stores your card number.
• Product analytics: first-party, privacy-minimal event counts (e.g. “started intake”) so we can see where the experience can improve. No third-party trackers, no ad pixels, no cross-site tracking.
• How you found us: if you arrive through a partner’s link or another woman’s share link, we remember that source so we can credit them. A woman who shares her link only ever sees a count of women who finished with it — never who you are, and never anything about you.

What we deliberately never collect: your gender, your health, or any other sensitive characteristic beyond the optional self-identification listed above — which you offer on your profile if you want to, after your number exists, and never as a condition of anything. Gender is the one we will not collect at all, at any point, because gender being out of the formula’s reach is the whole design. The pay engine is built so it cannot receive any of these — including the ones you do choose to share.

• To compute your gender-blind market band and target from U.S. government wage data.
• To write you a negotiation script anchored to that number.
• To let you report and (optionally) verify your outcome, and to remind you to come back.
• To build anonymous, aggregate insights, such as the “women like you” salary figure and the evidence of what asking actually gets women.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to communicate with you about it.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without a human in the loop.

We’re transparent about this: Rita — our guide, powered by AI from Anthropic — runs the friendly intake, maps your job title to an occupation, and drafts your script. The same AI also reads a résumé you choose to share and pulls out job facts that you check before they’re used, matches your industry to a sector, and, when you ask, suggests a sharper way to word something you wrote about your work, which you can take or leave. If you use a signed-in feature that simulates a pay conversation, the same AI plays the other side of it. Your salary number itself is not written by AI — it’s computed by a fixed, deterministic formula from public government wage data, the same way for everyone.

Crucially, gender is never sent to the AI or to the engine — and neither is your employer. Your number is the market rate for your role, so where you happen to work can never drag it down. The AI is never allowed to propose or lower a salary figure. You can always reach a human at hello@pagame.ai.

• Encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
• Strict per-user access controls (row-level security) so you can only ever see your own data.
• Anonymized salary pool: contributed salaries are stored detached from your name, and “women like you” figures are only shown once at least 5 women are in a group (k-anonymity).
• Offer letters: stored in a private bucket, shown only to our reviewer via short-lived links, and deleted after we verify them.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we never share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your own data. Your salary, your target, your evidence, your conversations with Rita, what your employer said and what you landed are never sold, and never given to your employer.

Aggregates we use today. The anonymous, aggregated figures described in “How we use it” stay inside Págame, and a “women like you” figure is never shown for fewer than 5 women. We do not sell or license them, or any other data, to anyone.

What may come later. In the future, Págame may offer organizations research, pay benchmarks or other insights built from aggregated, de-identified data. We don’t do this today. If we ever do, it will only include information you shared under a version of this policy that allows that use, and only as aggregates that cannot identify you — with minimum group sizes, an even stricter minimum wherever a figure is broken down by employer, and any cut that could single out a person suppressed or rolled up. It would never include anything about you as an individual, and could never be used by an employer to evaluate, promote, pay, monitor or take action against any worker. We will not re-identify this data, we will require anyone who receives it to agree not to either, and we will update this policy before any of it begins.

We use a small set of trusted service providers (“subprocessors”) to run the product. They may process your data only to provide their service to us, under contract:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Vercel — website hosting
• Anthropic — the conversational AI (never receives your gender)
• OpenAI — turning your voice into text, only if you choose to speak instead of typing (the recording is not stored)
• Deepgram — a backup for that same job, used only if we switch to it
• Resend — sending you email (sign-in links, reminders, and follow-ups after you get your number — every follow-up carries a one-click unsubscribe)
• Stripe — processing payments for Págame Pay Intelligence, and settling anything still outstanding from an Expert Review bought before it was retired (they handle your card, not us)
• Calendly — scheduling, and taking payment. We no longer offer the Expert Review it was used for, and nothing on Págame sends you there anymore. If you still hold an old scheduling link and book through it, Calendly receives what you enter and takes the payment
• Google — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”

We also use public U.S. government data (Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Census) to compute wage benchmarks — that’s a data source, and no personal information about you is sent to them. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect rights and safety.

We honor these rights for everyone, not just residents of states that require them:

• Know & access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your data and close your account.
• Get a copy (portability) of the data you provided.
• Opt out of any sale or sharing — though we do neither.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any right, email hello@pagame.ai from your account email and we’ll take care of it. You may use an authorized agent, and you can appeal a decision by replying to us.

We use only first-party cookies: the essential ones that keep you signed in and secure, and — if you arrive through a partner’s or another woman’s share link — one that remembers that source so we can credit them. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We keep your account data while your account is active. Offer letters are deleted after verification. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information, except anonymized, aggregated figures that no longer identify you and anything we’re legally required to keep.

Págame is for adults (18+) navigating their careers and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Págame is a U.S. service and your data is processed in the United States by us and our subprocessors.

If we make a material change, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know. The current version always lives at this page.
